Mountain Valleys Health Centers (MVHC) is grateful to our friends and partners at Mayers Memorial Hospital District for providing discounted labs to patients at their 37th Annual Community Health Fair on April 7, 2018. We understand that historically there has been some confusion on just what to “do” with the lab results and “next steps.” We have streamlined the process this year to create a better patient experience. So, what makes this year any different?
You, the patient, will receive a paper copy in the mail. If you wish to share the lab with your MVHC provider it is your responsibility to bring the paperwork to the clinic at your next appointment. Mountain Valleys Health Centers will NOT be receiving a copy. This ensures any “assumptions” on the status of the results. Thank you and we look forward to serving our patients!
Mountain Valleys Health Centers is pleased to be offering FREE retinal eye screenings for patients for the next 3 months. To schedule your appointment please call 530-335-5457.
We recently were made aware of an international scheme happening where fake DEA agents are calling physicians and patients as part of an elaborate scam demanding payment. We want to make sure our patients at MVHC are aware of this and to report it immediately if you receive such a call. For more information on this, please click here.

Mountain Valleys Health Centers (MVHC) is pleased to announce we have signed an agreement with Mercy Maternity Clinic in Redding, CA. Dr. Olivia and Dr. Perry, from the Maternity Clinic will assist MVHC providers with prenatal care of low risk pregnant women. OB patients can establish prenatal care with Dr. Dahle, Dr. Nix, Sharon Hanson-Nurse Practitioner, or Heather Corr-Physician Assistant. These women will have normal prenatal visits with one of these providers. At 20 weeks these patients will travel to see one of the Mercy Maternity doctors to evaluate current progress. A plan of care will be formalized and the patient will return to her MVHC provider for the remainder of care. Labor and delivery will take place with the Mercy providers at Mercy Medical Center. After this they will return to MVHC for postpartum and newborn care.
Women still have the choice of going to the doctor and facility of their choice. However, this option just gives women the ability to have the majority of their care here, close to home.
“We are excited to have these services available for expecting mothers,” says Dave Jones, CEO for Mountain Valleys. “Being pregnant is a joyous time, and we want to provide quality prenatal care locally and close to home for our patients.
